EDUCATION NEWS
We are
currently accepting applications for our Sunday School Program for the
2008-09 year for classes beginning in September. Our program is a
structured learning program which reinforces the skills a child is
learning in school (e.g.) colors, numbers, senses, motor skills, while
learning about God, creation, self and the wonder of life. We have
classes for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. Classes are held on Sunday mornings
from 9:30-10:30am in the primary wing of the school. For more
information, please call the Religious Education Office at 994-7757.
We are also accepting applications for our Religious Education Program
for Grades 1-8 (Tuesday evening classes). Registration forms are
available at the Rectory Office or in the Religious Education Office.
This is for NEW students entering the program. Please
complete the form and return to the Religious Education Office by
July 31st. A form must be completed for each child
you are enrolling. For more information, you may call the Religious
Education Office at 994-7757. |
SUMMER
MASS SCHEDULE
Our
Summer Mass schedule will begin on June 22, 2008. The 12:30pm
Sunday Masses will be eliminated and resume on Sunday, September 7,
2008. |

LOURDES & ITALY
PILGRIMAGE
Including: Lourdes, Avignon,
Nice, Florence, Assisi and Rome
Fr. Cocco, along with Fr. John Klevence and Fr.
Cornelius Breslin, will be hosting a pilgrimage to Lourdes and Italy.
The pilgrimage will include stops at Lourdes, Avignon, Nice, Florence,
Assisi and Rome. The trip will run 11 days from November 3, 2008
to November 13, 2008. We will be leaving from Washington D.C.
on November 3rd. The cost is $2,389. A brochure outlining
the Pilgrimage is available in the Church vestibule and also at the

Adult Choir
Singing is like Praying Twice! And if you like to sing, St. John's adult
choir needs you! You don't have to read music, just be able to carry a
tune and enjoy singing with fun people. We rehearse on Thursday nights
in the church. We sing each 11:00 Mass and Holy Day Masses. We're a
flexible bunch if you need to miss sometimes. If you're interested in

ARE YOU REGISTERED?
If you have not
filled out a census form you are not a registered parishioner.
Registration is important when you need a sponsor certificate or need
proof of registration for some other matter. Forms are available in the
parish office or in the vestibule of church.
